Located in Boksburg suburbia, the driving force for the house design was to make use of five rectilinear cube forms surrounding a center-like outdoor courtyard.

The forms accommodate the required internal program with open plan design for easy flow of light through the internal spaces. Public areas such as the living room and a number of bedrooms open up into the courtyard.
