The story, the approach and the person behind Khenso Design.
Khenso Design is an architectural design studio led by Khenso Nyalungu, based in Johannesburg, designing contemporary homes across Gauteng, Mpumalanga and beyond.
The studio's work begins with place: the fall of the land, the path of the sun, the way a family actually lives. From there, each home is composed as a set of clear volumes — pavilions, gables, courtyards — that give every room its own light, privacy and view.
Every project is taken through a rigorous design process, from concept sketches and floor plans to axonometric studies and photo-real visualisations, so that clients see and understand their home long before a brick is laid.
Buildings that answer their site and climate, not a catalogue.
Your brief drives the design — reviewed with you at every stage.
Material, texture and light considered from the first sketch.
Site analysis, spatial planning and massing studies that turn your brief into a clear architectural idea.
Floor plans, room schedules and axonometric studies refined with you, room by room.
Photo-real exterior and interior renders so you can walk through your home before it is built.
Complete presentation documents — plans, perspectives and areas — ready for the next stage of your project.
A short call or message is all it takes to find out what your site could become.
